Intellectual Property Lawyer Brian R. Pollack Joins Day Pitney as Partner
Day Pitney announced today that Brian R. Pollack has joined the firm as partner in its Intellectual Property department. Mr. Pollack resides in the firm's Stamford, Connecticut, office and will head up the firm's patent prosecution practice.
"Brian brings diverse experience in patent prosecution, counseling and litigation that complements and deepens our IP practice and the services we provide our clients," said Elizabeth Alquist, chair of the firm's Intellectual Property department.
Mr. Pollack has worked in patent preparation, prosecution and product clearance, as well as patent litigation and trademark and copyright counseling. His work has involved medical devices and techniques, software and financial services, energy and waste management systems, green building technology, hydrogen infrastructure, fuel cells, turbine technologies, advanced materials, polymer science, plasma physics, MRI technology and packaging technology.
In addition, Mr. Pollack's engineering background includes work at the MIT Plasma Science and Fusion Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the Joint European Torus tokamak fusion facility in Oxfordshire, UK, the Indian Point 2 Nuclear facility and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.

Mr. Pollack was previously with Chadbourne & Parke LLP. He received his J.D. from Boston College Law School and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Manhattan College. Mr. Pollack also has an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Nuclear Engineering (Plasma Physics & Magnetically Confined Fusion), both from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
