Chambers High Net Worth Recognizes Day Pitney and 16 Attorneys for Private Wealth Law
Day Pitney LLP is pleased to announce that the firm and 16 attorneys in its Trusts and Estates and Individual Clients Department have been ranked in the 2020 Chambers High Net Worth (HNW) Guide,* a Chambers and Partners publication specifically aimed at the international private wealth market. The guide covers private wealth management work and related areas around the world, featuring in-depth editorials about the leading professional advisers to wealthy individuals and families in each market.
The firm was again ranked in the Chambers HNW Guide for Private Wealth Law in the Nationwide Eastern Region, as well as in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York. Day Pitney is one of only two law firms to receive Band 1 rankings in Connecticut, and is tied for the most attorneys ranked in the state. The firm also received a Band 1 ranking in Massachusetts, and is tied for both the most Band 1-ranked attorneys and the most attorneys ranked overall in the state.
Day Pitney is "a strong regional name on the East Coast," according to Chambers sources. "They have the highest touch and productivity levels," commented one interviewee. Another market commentator noted that "[t]he team is highly competent in addressing the matters I present to them, but also in identifying related matters, options and past decisions that could be better addressed. They are well staffed and good communicators, with a clear road map of effort involved and a bias toward simplicity and flexibility, not toward complexity."
With nearly 70 lawyers in the firm's Individual Clients practice, Day Pitney offers private clients one of the deepest and most experienced practices in the country. The attorneys have hundreds of years of combined experience advising individuals and their families on the full spectrum of matters related to trusts and estates and family offices. In addition, 18 attorneys are elected fellows of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), a group of peer-elected trust and estate attorneys across the United States and abroad with more than 10 years of experience in the active practice of probate and trust law or estate planning.
