On December 7, Day Pitney, ICSGroup and CohnReznick co-sponsored "Launching a Private Fund: What You Need to Know." The program was held at Day Pitney's New York office and included approximately 50 attendees. Shawn Wooden of Day Pitney moderated a discussion that covered what fund sponsors should do to launch a private fund, ensure that an effective compliance program is in place and to lay the groundwork for raising institutional capital. The panelists included Peter Bilfield of Day Pitney, Medina Jett of ICSGroup and Chris Aroh of CohnReznick. The program, which had approximately 50 attendees, was geared toward those looking to start a private investment fund, in the early stages of forming a private investment fund and advisers to such funds.
