Day Pitney Recognized on Law360's "Ceiling Smashers" List for Having a High Representation of Women Equity Partners
Day Pitney announced that the firm has earned a spot on Law360's "2021 Ceiling Smashers" list from the publication's annual Glass Ceiling Report. It ranked third amongst law firms with 251 to 600 attorneys for the highest representation of women in their equity partnership, and fourth for the firm's size category for women across three levels of attorneys. Almost 32 percent of Day Pitney's equity partners are women.
In "These Firms Have The Most Women In Equity Partnerships," Law360 stated that "this year's Ceiling Smashers – [are] the top 10 firms in each law firm size category that are setting the pace for a legal industry working to close the gender gap at the top."
"Creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive firm is a critical part of our mission, and we are proud of our accomplishments in promoting women to and within our partnership," said Theresa A. Kelly, Partner in Charge of Diversity and Inclusion at Day Pitney.
Recently, the Diversity Lab announced that Day Pitney qualified for Mansfield Certification Plus status, indicating that in addition to meeting or exceeding the pipeline consideration requirements for certification, the firm has successfully reached at least 30 percent diverse lawyer representation in a notable number of their current leadership roles and committees. The firm has been a part of this process since the inaugural version in 2017, and will be participating in its 5.0 iteration of the Mansfield Rule.
