Boston Attorney Eric Kaviar Expands Day Pitney Intellectual Property Practice
Day Pitney LLP welcomes Eric G.J. Kaviar as Counsel in its Intellectual Property and Technology practice. The addition of Kaviar, who will be based in the firm's Boston office, follows the recent arrival of New York Counsel Claire Gibson, further reflecting the firm's ongoing commitment to strengthening and expanding its Intellectual Property practice.

At Day Pitney, Kaviar's practice will focus on intellectual property litigation, including patent disputes, trademark disputes, trade secret cases, and strategic intellectual property counseling. He will also advise clients on managing and protecting their intellectual property portfolios, helping Day Pitney meet the evolving needs of its clients in technology-driven industries.
With more than 17 years of experience in the legal profession, Kaviar focuses on litigation from pre-filing investigations through trial and appeal, including proceedings before the International Trade Commission. He has litigated cases involving technologies such as video gaming, voice over internet protocol (VoIP), content delivery networks, electrophoretic displays, optical equipment, point-of-sale devices, medical devices, and software. Before joining the firm, Kaviar held partner positions at two leading law firms, managing complex intellectual property matters and representing clients in advanced technology cases.
