Water: Essential in Connecticut

On November 17, Beth Barton moderated a panel, "Water: Essential in Connecticut," at the Sustainability Conference hosted by the Connecticut Business & Industry Association and Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT. The panel discussed water usage, supplies and conservation as it applies to Connecticut manufacturing and other industries. Panelists engaged in the conversation were Jeff Ulrich of the Aquarion Water Company, Pete DePasquale of Nestle Waters North America and Larry Smith of Bridgeport Fittings. The conference, which was held at the Pratt & Whitney Hangar/Museum, explored how companies are becoming more successful, profitable and efficient by incorporating energy and environmental sustainability into their business plans. It brought together business leaders from manufacturing and other industries to network and share experiences relating to sustainability initiatives.
