The Philanthropy Talk: How Do I Do It...and Why Do I Have To

Barbara Freedman Wand spoke at a program, "The Philanthropy Talk: How Do I Do It...and Why Do I Have To?," presented by The Boston Foundation in partnership with The Philanthropic Initiative, Massachusetts Society of CPAs, and the Boston Estate Planning Council. Panelists discussed topics including high net worth clients' continued interest in philanthropy in the wake of 2017 tax reform; ways in which advisors can collaborate to offer their clients robust and holistic services; and various options for investing in philanthropy.

The Boston Foundation, Greater Boston's community foundation, is one of the largest community foundations in the nation, with net assets of more than $1.2 billion. The Foundation is a close partner in philanthropy with its donors, with more than 1,000 separate charitable funds established either for the general benefit of the community or for special purposes.
