The Unsung Heroes of the CT Trust Code: Directed and Domestic Asset Protection Trusts
On November 7, partner Christiana Gianopulos and senior associate Margaret St. John Meehan spoke at "The Unsung Heroes of the CT Trust Code: Directed and Domestic Asset Protection Trusts," a CLE seminar presented by the Estates and Probate Section of the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) and held at the CBA Law Center in New Britain, CT. Focusing on the new Connecticut Uniform Directed Trust Act, they discussed the estate planning opportunities provided by directed trusts, including drafting tips and a framework for analyzing when a directed trust is appropriate to meet a client's needs.
