"Building a Diverse Energy Workforce," Day Pitney

On Thursday, January 12, we hosted a one-hour webinar to discuss the challenges of creating a diverse, inclusive and equitable workforce in the energy industry. While meeting diversity goals are a challenge in any industry, they are more pronounced among energy companies, where the workforce has traditionally been less diverse than some others. The coming wave of retirements in the industry and rapid technological advancements, including remote work, are creating compounding challenges yet at the same time providing opportunities for improvement. ReadyCT's Executive Director Shannon Marimon presented, along with NextEra Energy's HR Strategic Projects Lead Angela Perez and Vistra's Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer Annette Underwood. Boston-based Energy and Utilities Partner David Bogan moderated the panel discussion.
