"Trusts and Estates Law Section 2023 Fall Meeting," NYSBA

On September 29, Day Pitney Private Client Attorney Emma K. Pletenycky will be speaking as a panelist at the New York State Bar Association's Trusts and Estates Law Section 2023 Fall Meeting on "Drafting for Incapacitation of Fiduciary or Beneficiary and Ethical Issues of Dealing with Incapacitation of a Fiduciary or Beneficiary" with Patricia J. Shevy of The Shevy Law Firm, LLC. Pletenycky is a vice chair of the NYSBA Estate and Trust Administration Committee.

Day Pitney Private Client Partner Michael S. Schwartz will offer the welcoming remarks to the conference. Schwartz is the chair of the NYSBA Trusts and Estates Section and is organizing the conference. The conference is being held at the High Peaks Resort in Lake Placid, NY.

Schwartz also provided the estate planning perspective on the “Court Methods to Correct Drafting Issues: Reformation, Construction, Decanting, Cy Pres,” panel with the Honorable Vincent Messina (Suffolk County Surrogate’s Court) and Robert Harper (Farrell Fritz, PC.).
