On July 9-11, Day Pitney's New Haven office hosted the Connecticut Bar Association's LAW Camp. LAW Camp is sponsored by the CBA's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. This program exposes high school students to the legal profession and gives them instruction on critical and analytical thinking to help them succeed in their educational and professional careers. During the camp, students heard from practicing lawyers and judges, observe court proceedings, received advocacy training, and participated in a mock trial competition. Day Pitney's Director of Diversity and Inclusion Tara Pollard worked closely with LAW Camp leaders to ensure students had a good experience. Litigation Partner Jeff Mueller provided on-site guidance to students preparing for the mock trial competition.
