Who We Are

The Latin America Practice Group at Day Pitney draws from a team that includes multicultural attorneys fluent in Spanish and Portuguese with extensive experience counseling clients from across the hemisphere. Our team members have traveled and transacted extensively throughout the region giving our team a deep cultural understanding of our clients further cementing our role as trusted advisors.

Our team is largely focused on representing global families of wealth, family offices, family enterprises and their operating businesses across various sectors. We regularly collaborate and partner on engagements with our clients’ attorneys and advisors in their country of origin.

What We Do

Due to the dynamic nature of these clients, our engagements often transcend disciplines. The level of sophistication of our private client practice allows for our team to advise and support clients with the most complex structures. This enables our team to advise clients seeking to establish and operate a U.S.-based family office, evaluate and structure tax and estate planning, and domesticate investments and operating businesses in the U.S. Along with this corporate and tax counseling, our team is equipped to advise on direct equity investments in venture capital, private equity and real estate and on-going advisory and legal counseling thereafter. Our litigation capabilities provide the necessary support should complications arise in our engagements.
