Leasing

Overview

Day Pitney’s leasing attorneys assist tenants, landlords/owners and developers with their commercial leasing needs.  We represent some of the largest owners of office, retail and mixed-use real estate projects in the country, including national REITs and regional and national investors and developers, in their leasing needs across all asset classes.

Our attorneys regularly assist Fortune 500 companies, national REITs, and high-profile retail and hospitality brands in navigating complex negotiations for office, industrial, and retail leases.  Day Pitney often assists clients in their corporate “head quarter” leases and in complex ground leases, built-to-suit leases and sale, lease-back transactions. We also advise our clients on all ancillary lease documentation such as letters of intent, construction work letters, subleases and lease assignments, license agreements, vendor agreements, site access agreements, brokerage agreements, estoppels and subordination and non-disturbance agreements.   Our services range from large, sophisticated transactions to simpler lease amendments or modifications, allowing us to scale our resources and staff transactions in a cost-effective, task-appropriate manner.

Day Pitney serves as corporate real estate counsel for many major public and private corporations, in conjunction with their national real estate portfolios and is accustomed with working with large and small corporate real estate teams often comprised of real estate transaction managers, in-house counsel, and commercial real estate brokers. In this role, we serve as national tenant-side corporate leasing counsel.
