Summary:

New Business Intake Specialist is responsible for reviewing all new business that is generated firm-wide in support of the firm's risk management needs through the firm's intake system.  The position is responsible for reviewing and maintaining all new and existing client data throughout the firm.

Primary Duties:

  • Diligently review new client and new matter information submitted via the Firm's intake system
  • Comprehend all aspects of Intapp Intake to assist with Partner and Legal Assistant questions
  • Understanding and complying with Outside Counsel Guidelines where applicable
  • Maintain system warnings
  • Proactively follow up to resolve discrepancies and obtain accurate, complete information to ensure data integrity and process efficiency
  • Ability to identify and escalate issues through certain levels of communication
  • Understanding rates and rate structures
  • Review engagement or scope letters for compliance with firm and departmental guidelines/policies
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, coordinate, and manage large-scale projects with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ensure database integrity using department and firm standards of input
  • Assist with data cleanup projects
  • Actively contribute to a collaborative team environment by presenting ideas and recommendations that promote best practices, drive continuous improvement, and enhance departmental processes, policies, and procedures

Requirement / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in legal industry
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • The ability to analyze large data sets
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel
  • Intapp, iManage and Aderant experience preferred
