Day Pitney WWT Initiative Supports New Jersey Battered Women's Service Shelter

(PARSIPPANY, NJ, July 1, 2014) --?Day Pitney, through its Women Working Together (WWT) initiative, has once again made a generous donation to the New Jersey Battered Women's Service (NJBWS). The donation, part of WWT's summer clothing and supplies drive, will directly help children living in the NJBWS shelter and nearly 100 families supported by the agency in Morris County.

"Part of our mission is to support women's initiative in the community at large, and NJBWS is a tremendous organization," said partner Heather Weine Brochin. "We're pleased with the outpouring of support from the community and grateful for the tireless efforts from all WWT members, as well as our colleagues in our Parsippany office."

The donated items included many bags of brand-new clothing, bathing suits, sunscreen, flip flops, water bottles, towels, toys, and other summer necessities. WWT partnered with the firm's Parsippany office to collect hundreds of items and monetary donations for this year's summer drive.

WWT is part of Day Pitney's commitment to diversity, particularly the success and retention of women at the firm. Each year, WWT provides mutual support, professional growth, and community service opportunities to women attorneys at the firm and to clients.
