Leigh Newman was mentioned in the article, Malta House Names 8 Women Honorees For Public Service, published in the Hartford Courant. The article announced that Newman is among those being honored this year by the Malta House of Care Foundation for their commitment to public service and philanthropy. Newman, a trusts and estates partner at Day Pitney and Chair of the Board of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford, was introduced at a reception at the Town & County Club in Hartford on January 24. The Malta House of Care's mission is to provide free primary health care to the uninsured. Newman and the others will be recognized at "Celebrating Wonder Women," a benefit for the Malta House of Care mobile medical clinic, on May 2 at The Bushnell in Hartford.
