On October 26, Day Pitney LLP hosted a program on entrepreneurship and innovation with the Consulate General of Israel to New England and the New England Israel Business Council at the firm's Boston office. The program was attended by approximately twenty students from Brown University with various backgrounds and majors, all of whom have some focus on entrepreneurship. Day Pitney partner David Waizer, who leads the firm's Startup Initiative, Day Pitney Launch, welcomed the guests and provided insights into working with the Consulate and startups. Dan Trajman, President and CEO of the New England Israel Business Counsel, spoke about the history of the Israeli high-tech industry, existing opportunities for business and its impact on the Massachusetts economy. Carrie Webb Olson, partner and chair of Day Pitney's Trademark Copyright and Advertising practice group, closed the event with an overview of the intellectual property landscape and how it is connected to Israel.
