Chase Rogers Selected by Connecticut Chief Justice to Co-Chair Jury Selection Task Force to Eradicate Racial Bias from the Jury System
Chase Rogers has been selected by Connecticut Chief Justice Richard Robinson to co-chair the Jury Selection Task Force which is charged with eradicating racial bias from its jury system. After studying the issue of racial discrimination in juries, the task force will make recommendations to the Chief Justice regarding meaningful changes to be made including proposals to improve the jury summoning process in order to ensure that venires are drawn from a fair cross section of the community and new model instructions for juries regarding implicit bias. Paul D. Williams will also serve on the task force.
