'Truly an Honor': New Leadership Looks to Future at Stamford Partnership
April Condon has been elected to a three-year term as Vice Chairwoman of the Stamford Partnership, a nonprofit that focuses on improving the city's business climate and public services. Condon's election, along with commercial real estate executive Jodi Gutierrez election to Chairwoman, marks the first time that two women have simultaneously held the board's top two positions.
In a recent interview published in the Stamford Advocate, Condon remarked on the election by explaining that, "it was not a gender-based conversation ever. I think it's reflective of the fact that in these different sectors - public, private and nonprofit - women are just rising." A board member since 2018, Condon further stated, "Over 40 years, there's been a shift in the amount of women who've risen through leadership (positions), and now the Stamford Partnership is just reflecting that reality."
