Four Day Pitney Partners Named BTI "Client Service All-Stars" for 2020
Parsippany, NJ, December 10, 2020 - Four Day Pitney partners, Elizabeth Alquist, Marie Caroline Bertrand, Michael Byrne and John Cerreta, have been selected to the list of "Client Services All-Stars" by BTI for 2020. The annual list recognizes attorneys for delivering superior service to corporate clients, and is based on feedback provided by corporate counsel at some of the world's largest companies.
According to the report, fewer than 10% of all firms serving large clients are home to more than one All-Star attorney. Alquist, Cerreta, Bertrand and Byrne were selected for the distinction among 475 attorneys across the United States, who have met or exceeded their clients' expectations and have earned their recognition for delivering "the absolute best client service," according to the report.
"At Day Pitney, we take our client service program very seriously. We are delighted to see Beth, John, Marie and Mike recognized for their outstanding dedication and commitment to our clients," said Day Pitney Managing Partner Tom Goldberg.
Alquist, a trial attorney, represents clients in patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, noncompetition and technology-related disputes in federal and state courts, as well as the International Trade Commission, Patent Trial and Appeal Board and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. She is chair of the firm's Intellectual Property and Technology group.
Bertrand represents a broad range of institutional clients in connection with the acquisition, disposition, financing, development and leasing of all types of commercial real estate throughout the United States. She has significant experience with construction financing in New York City.
Byrne represents clients in structuring and closing transactions in the areas of commercial real estate finance, acquisition, disposition, leasing and development. His clients include life insurance companies, banks, pension funds, investment banks, commercial lenders, corporations, private equity funds, religious organizations, utility companies and high net worth individuals.
Cerreta, a litigator and member of the firm's Appellate Practice, represents clients in complex tort and product liability cases, insurance coverage disputes and class actions. Clients rely on John to handle their most complex appeals and critical motions. He has briefed and argued numerous appeals in the Second Circuit, and appellate courts in Connecticut and throughout the United States.
The only way to become a BTI Client Service All-Star is for corporate counsel to single out an attorney for client service exceeding all others. No attorney can lobby to be added to list, there is no self-submission process, and law firms cannot provide names of clients to be contacted.
Day Pitney's has an established firm-wide client service program that trains all lawyers and staff on the delivery of excellent client service. A number of Day Pitney partners have been recognized by BTI for outstanding client service in the past.
