How Day Pitney's Data Privacy Group Is Meeting The Moment
Day Pitney Data Privacy, Protection and Litigation group co-chairs Naju Lathia and William Roberts were featured in the Law360 Pulse Q&A article, "How Day Pitney's Data Privacy Group Is Meeting The Moment."
When asked about the growth of the practice, Roberts commented, "My goal in joining Day Pitney was to help lead a transformation of [the firm]'s long-standing data privacy and cybersecurity practice group. It was a really exciting opportunity for me, because Day Pitney said, 'We want to completely reimagine our data privacy practice and build an A to Z holistic practice, so that we don't have privacy matters going from the health law group to the litigation group to the finance group. Instead, we want a single integrated group that would handle the total life cycle of data privacy.'"
Lathia commented on her role in the New Jersey Attorney General's office stating, "I was in a unique position with the attorney general's office where my caseload was about 50% investigations and 50% prosecutions…From my prosecution [work], I understand what a government entity is looking for, what tools they have and what their interests are, and with that in mind I can work with our clients to respond to inquiries and to prevent further inquiries."
