Pro Bono Partnership has recognized Day Pitney LLP with the 2023 Connecticut Law Firm Volunteers of the Year Award (VOTY). The VOTY award will be presented to the firm at a reception at Real Art Ways in Hartford on April 19.
For over 25 years, Day Pitney has enjoyed a working relationship with the Pro Bono Partnership, an organization that matches pro bono volunteers to provide essential legal services to nonprofit organizations in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
"Congratulations to all of our fellow Pro Bono Partnership Volunteers of the Year recipients – we are in fantastic company," said Theresa Kelly, chair of Day Pitney's Pro Bono Committee. "We are proud of our longstanding relationship with Pro Bono Partnership and our pro bono work with many impactful Connecticut organizations. Our attorneys understand the meaning of giving back to our communities and how they can contribute their time and talents to be change agents for the greater good."
In 2022, Day Pitney worked on 35 matters for 32 nonprofits in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York. This work was performed by 35 Day Pitney attorneys who provided much needed, free legal services to non-profits, which serve the communities in which we work and live. The Pro Bono Partnership serves a diverse group of nonprofit clients in areas such as the arts, culture and humanities, education and child development, human services, the environment and animals.
