Day Pitney Boosts Energy Team with Washington, D.C. Partner Valerie Green
Day Pitney is pleased to announce that Valerie L. Green has joined the firm as Partner in the firm's Washington, D.C. Office. Green brings nearly 20 years of experience in the energy sector to the firm's nationally ranked Energy and Utilities practice.

Green's practice focuses on electricity, natural gas, renewable energy, and regulatory and compliance issues involving the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and other administrative agencies and regulatory authorities. Clients rely on Green's deep knowledge of regulatory process and precedent in proceedings involving administrative litigation, compliance audits, and investigations, and in appellate litigation before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. She has extensive experience with a wide range of energy-related issues, including regulation under the Federal Power Act, the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act, Natural Gas Act, the Natural Gas Policy Act of 1978, and FERC's regulations implementing those statutory regimes.

Green is the immediate past president of the Washington, D.C. chapter of the Women's Energy Network and current chair of the chapter's Executive Member Program. She is also a member of the Energy Bar Association and the American Bar Association's Energy and Public Utilities Section. Green earned her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her J.D. from the University of California College of Law, San Francisco. She is admitted to practice in California and Washington, D.C.
