Garcia-Linares commented, "Consolidating those two courts would have required people from Key West to inconveniently drive to Miami for court appearances, testimony and jury duty. The Miami-Dade County Clerk's Office is already backlogged. The answer is not consolidation but rather to continue investing in technology to increase efficiency."
