On the Move and After Hours

The arrival of Corporate Partner Laurence Smith and the promotion of Stephen Catanzaro to Partner was featured in the New Jersey Law Journal's On The Move and After Hours column.

"The addition of Larry to our New Jersey office is the latest step in our firm's continued strategic growth in key areas of practice and in markets where we see significant growth potential to best serve our clients," said Day Pitney managing partner Gregory A. Hayes in a statement. "In the last year, we have added ten lateral partners to the firm and nearly twenty attorneys to our corporate department."

Smith has a broad-based transactional practice that includes mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and venture capital transactions, the announcement said.

Catanzaro advises and represents clients in real estate and business litigation matters, as well as a broad range of other commercial disputes. His real estate litigation practice includes commercial real estate contract and lease disputes, prerogative writ matters and zoning appeals, construction litigation, easement disputes, and commercial foreclosures. Catanzaro also represents companies in class action defense, private employers in employment matters, creditors in bankruptcy actions, and executives in all aspects of marriage dissolution.
