Day Pitney Lands Former Reuters Tax Counsel in Conn
Day Pitney continued its recent growth in its tax practice in Connecticut with the addition of Amy Drais, an experienced tax attorney from Thomson Reuters. Her arrival was featured in Law360 Pulse.
In the article, Drais commented, "I have been very impressed with the collaborative environment at Day Pitney and the intelligent and enthusiastic team here at the firm. In addition, the broad range of services provided by the firm is a great match for my experience. Day Pitney's large corporate client base and one the largest private client practices in the county were particularly appealing to me, as they align with my background and offer opportunities to work on complex and high-profile tax matters for a wide range of transactions."
"Amy's experience across a variety of different tax disciplines makes her precisely the type of senior tax attorney we need to provide the high-level guidance that both our corporate and private client department clients expect from our attorneys," said R. Scott Beach, chair of the corporate and business law department. "Given her in-house and private practice roles, she brings a diversity of experience to our tax department that will greatly benefit our entire team."
Drais is the second tax partner to join Day Pitney this summer. The firm welcomed Ryan Leichsenring in Hartford in June.
