Day Pitney Litigation Team Widely Recognized by Connecticut Law Tribune at the New England Legal Awards

Day Pitney is proud to announce that two of the firm's Connecticut-based attorneys and the firm's Litigation department have been recognized by the Connecticut Law Tribune as part of their second annual New England Legal Awards. Day Pitney is named in the following categories: Lifetime Achievement, Legal Innovators & Disrupters, and Litigation Departments of the Year – General Litigation. According to the publication, these awards recognize exceptional attorneys and firms from Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Rhode Island across various legal domains.

In addition to the firm's Litigation department being named a Finalist, the following individuals were recognized by the Connecticut Law Tribune:
- Stanley A. Twardy, Jr. (Stamford Office), Government Enforcement and White Collar Criminal Defense Attorney, Lifetime Achievement Winner. Twardy, a former Managing Partner of Day Pitney, is a leading corporate litigator. His practice focuses on helping clients with criminal, civil and regulatory investigations conducted by federal and state agencies. His clients have included Fortune 500 companies, executives of these companies and others involved in federal and state criminal, regulatory and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) investigations. Twardy has argued many civil and criminal cases in both federal and state appellate courts. In addition, he has been counsel of record in several cases before the United States Supreme Court. Before entering private practice, Twardy was a United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut and Chief of Staff to Connecticut Governor Lowell P. Weicker, Jr. Twardy was recently recognized with The Richard Law Award, named for the first district judge appointed in the District of Connecticut, and bestowed upon a person who has rendered exemplary service to the District of Connecticut.
- Ashley Picker Dubin (Harford Office), Litigation Counsel, Legal Innovators & Disrupters Winner. Dubin works with Day Pitney attorneys across multiple practice areas to tailor strategies and discovery management plans for U.S. matters for clients in the U.S., U.K., Europe, South America, and Asia. Dubin serves as eDiscovery liaison in jurisdictions across the United States, negotiates technology-assisted review (TAR) protocols, and litigates motions related to discovery disputes. Clients' in-house legal counsel, technology teams, and records management departments collaborate with Dubin to develop and implement best practices for discovery. She develops internal and external discovery guidelines addressing each phase of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), including innovative uses of AI. Clients frequently engage and rely on her to negotiate discovery protocols with U.S. and state government agencies, U.S. Attorneys' offices, and private parties. Dubin is a member of ILTA, The Sedona Conference - WG1 and WG6, Women in eDiscovery, the American Bar Association, and the Connecticut Bar Association.
