Christopher "Chris" Klimmek practices in the area of complex business disputes and has experience with trial and appellate litigation in state and federal courts, and with arbitration proceedings. He has litigated a wide variety of claims, including breach of contract, misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty, successor liability, violations of state and federal securities laws, unfair trade practices and false claims acts.
Before joining the firm, Chris practiced for five years in Washington, D.C., and clerked for the Honorable Jane R. Roth of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Represented vehicle manufacturer in securing dismissal of negligence and failure to warn claims arising from vehicle training accident.
Represented heiress in probate of husband’s estate and parallel commercial litigation with family members.
Represented aerospace companies in multiple domestic and international arbitrations with suppliers and customers.
Served as co-lead trial counsel to group of Brazilian pig iron producers in veil piercing action to enforce foreign arbitral award, successfully obtaining spoliation sanctions and defeating defendants’ motion for summary judgment; case resolved during trial.
Represented retail energy services provider in securing dismissal of putative consumer class action alleging unfair business practices.
Represented trustee in defense of breach of fiduciary claims alleging imprudent investments.
Represented nationwide energy company in arbitration proceeding arising from power purchase agreement that resulted in award rejecting opponent's claim and sustaining company's counterclaim in full.
Represented leading travel services company in securing dismissal of putative consumer class action.
Represented special litigation committee of the board of directors of a community bank in investigation and report on shareholder demand and subsequent suit challenging pending merger; the committee’s report resulted in dismissal of the suit.
Represented prominent aviation business in parallel proceedings in Connecticut and New York arising from dispute over joint venture; matter was settled on favorable terms at the pleading stage.
