Overview
Lane Watson represents companies in mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, Hart-Scott-Rodino antitrust issues, commercial contracts, private placement of securities and represents startup companies and venture capital funds in venture capital financings. His practice also includes day-to-day counseling on general corporate and business issues for privately held, publicly traded, and start-up companies in the high technology service, and utilities industries, including advising and assisting with technology related agreements and licenses.
Lane served as judicial extern to The Honorable Marilyn Hall Patel, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California.
Lane is a member of the Emerging Companies and Venture Finance group, which offers resources and a solution developed specifically for entrepreneurs and startups called Day Pitney Launch.

Representation of Internet service provider in the acquisition by merger of a privately held telecommunications company valued at over $90 million
Representation of both venture capital funds and emerging companies in venture capital investments ranging from $500,000 to $100 million
Antitrust filings under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act for both acquiring and acquired parties
Representation of wireless communications companies in acquisitions by public companies in mergers valued at $800 million and over $2 billion
Representation of companies in purchases and sales of assets from $17 million to $170 million
