Position Summary:

Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Trademark Assistant who thrives in a dynamic environment, prioritizes effectively under tight deadlines, and demonstrates a proactive approach to managing a diverse workload. Responsibilities:

Assisting Trademark attorneys and paralegals with the following:

  • Routine tasks related to U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution.
  • Handle the legalization of documents and coordinate their delivery to assigned destinations.
  • Participate in portfolio intake and transfer-out projects.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of trademark-related documents.
  • Administer trademark Watch Subscription renewals.
  • Prepare reporting communications to clients regarding USPTO documents and notifications.
  • Create Trademark Status Charts and dockets as necessary.
  • Assist with document production projects.
  • Online research related to business development.
  • Assist in gathering evidence for trademark and domain enforcement actions.
  • Assist with special projects related to trademark prosecution and management as assigned by supervisors.
  • Overflow support which may include document revisions, edits, and proofreading
  • Provide backup support for other administrative roles within the team during peak periods or absences, e.g., update calendars and contacts, new matter intake, submit expenses.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Administrative/clerical experience with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A highly motivated, positive, and resilient demeanor.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Exceptional interpersonal abilities with clear, concise verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Competent in navigating virtual work environments efficiently.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with trademark law or processes.
  • Previous experience in a trademark department of a law firm or corporation.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Some college and equivalent experience will be considered
  • Computer skills: Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, iManage or other document management system.
