Trademark Assistant
Position Summary:

Responsibilities:
Assisting Trademark attorneys and paralegals with the following:
- Routine tasks related to U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution.
- Handle the legalization of documents and coordinate their delivery to assigned destinations.
- Participate in portfolio intake and transfer-out projects.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of trademark-related documents.
- Administer trademark Watch Subscription renewals.
- Prepare reporting communications to clients regarding USPTO documents and notifications.
- Create Trademark Status Charts and dockets as necessary.
- Assist with document production projects.
- Online research related to business development.
- Assist in gathering evidence for trademark and domain enforcement actions.
- Assist with special projects related to trademark prosecution and management as assigned by supervisors.
- Overflow support which may include document revisions, edits, and proofreading
- Provide backup support for other administrative roles within the team during peak periods or absences, e.g., update calendars and contacts, new matter intake, submit expenses.
Essential Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Administrative/clerical experience with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- A highly motivated, positive, and resilient demeanor.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities with clear, concise verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and diplomacy.
- Competent in navigating virtual work environments efficiently.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with trademark law or processes.
- Previous experience in a trademark department of a law firm or corporation.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Some college and equivalent experience will be considered
- Computer skills: Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, iManage or other document management system.
