Based in New York, Bharadwaj serves as the Chair of Day Pitney's Artificial Intelligence Committee. She is a partner in the firm's Technology, Telecommunications, and Outsourcing practice group and a member of the Data Privacy, Protection, and Litigation group. As Chair of the AI Committee, Bharadwaj is instrumental in developing the firm’s policy on responsible use of generative AI tools and spearheads cross-departmental efforts to promote the adoption of such tools within the firm. As an extension of her technology practice, she counsels clients on various aspects of AI, including structuring and negotiating generative AI product terms, advising on M&A and other corporate and commercial transactions involving companies that use AI-based products, and developing AI policies.
Bharadwaj’s legal practice focuses on transactions and advice related to technology, data, and intellectual property. She represents national and global corporations, as well as emerging companies across a variety of industries, including technology, energy and utilities, healthcare and life sciences, banking and finance, telecom, manufacturing, fashion, and consumer products. Bharadwaj is extensively experienced in structuring and negotiating complex, multiyear, multimillion-dollar deals involving the development, licensing, outsourcing, procurement, and provision of business-critical technology and related services. She also advises on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and financing involving businesses that are reliant on technology, data, and intellectual property. Bharadwaj regularly advises on matters involving AI, data analytics, e-commerce and digital media, blockchain, digital assets and Web3, and other emerging technology.
Bharadwaj is a member of the South Asian Bar Associations of New York and New Jersey, where she has held various leadership positions. She maintains strong ties to the South Asian legal and business communities by participating in bar associations and mentoring young lawyers and entrepreneurs from India. Fluent in English and Hindi, she earned her LL.M. from The George Washington University Law School, her B.A.L. L.L.B. from University Law College, Bangalore University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights Law (PDGIPRL) from the National Law School of India University. She is admitted to practice law in both New York and India.
