Day Pitney Sponsors New Jersey Women Lawyers Association 7th Annual WILL Platinum Gala

On March 25, 2014, Day Pitney was a gold sponsor of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association (NJWLA) 7th Annual WILL Platinum Gala in Cedar Grove, NJ.

The keynote speaker for the evening was Deborah Norville, Emmy award winning television anchor and journalist. Ms. Norville recounted some of the hurdles she faced as a young woman rising up the ladder in the world of journalism, and drawing on experiences garnered through research for her books The Power of Respect: Benefit From the Most Forgotten Element of Success and Thank You Power: Making the SCIENCE of Gratitude Work for YOU, discussed the importance of respectful behavior and gratitude in achieving success.

Leadership awards were given to the Honorable Patty Shwartz, U.S. Circuit Judge, Third Circuit Court of Appeals; the Honorable Patricia Costello, Assignment Judge, Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex Vicinage; the Honorable Dorothea Wefing, retired Judge, Appellate Division, temporarily assigned to the New Jersey Supreme Court; Jane Hanson, co-founder/Executive Director, Partners for Women and Justice; and Pamela Craven, Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel, Avaya, Inc. More than 650 guests attended the event, including firm attorneys David Doyle, Heather Brochin, Ellen Knarr, Margarita Ginzburg, Denise Rosenhaft, Patricia Choi, Amy McLelland, Chelsea Mullarney, Christina Parlapiano and Kathy Trawinski.
