Day Pitney Elevates Four to Partner
(NEW YORK, January 3, 2011) -- Day Pitney LLP announced today the election of four new partners, effective January 1. The newly elected partners practice in the areas of bankruptcy, patent litigation, environmental and land use law, and securities litigation.
"Each of these four individuals has made tremendous contributions to the firm and our clients, and we are delighted to recognize them for their many achievements," said Dennis R. The new partners are:
Conrad K. Chiu, New York, Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Practice. Represents creditors in all aspects of bankruptcy practice, including litigation, work-outs, restructuring, equipment leasing and secured lending. Frequently practices in state and federal courts across the United States. Brooklyn Law School, J.D., 1998; The Johns Hopkins University, B.A., 1995.
Keith J. McWha, New York, Patent Litigation. Extensive experience in all aspects of intellectual property, including prosecution, litigation, opinions, transactional matters, due diligence and client counseling. Regulatory practice focuses on biological products, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. Camille V. Otero, New Jersey, Environmental and Land Use Litigation and Regulation. Represents clients in various environmental litigation matters and conducts environmental due diligence during corporate and/or real estate transactions. Assists with investigation and remediation of industrial properties, representing clients in compliance and enforcement matters initiated by federal and state agencies. Has also worked on matters involving petroleum franchise law and toxic tort litigation arising from petroleum contamination. Erick M. Sandler, Hartford, Commercial Litigation. Practices in the areas of shareholder and securities litigation, complex business and trust disputes, and creditors' rights. Also handles appeals and regulatory matters. Clients include financial institutions, manufacturers and suppliers, public utilities, and individual clients.
