Day Pitney Receives Pro Bono Award from Connecticut Bar Association's Young Lawyer's Section

Day Pitney was recognized at the Connecticut Bar Association Young Lawyer's Section (YLS) Annual Pro Bono Fair for its contribution to the $1 Million Pro Bono Service Campaign. The firm was also presented with an award given to firms that have performed more than $200,000 worth of pro bono service. Day Pitney's Connecticut attorneys donated more than 860 pro bono hours during the three-month campaign period, March 2013 to May 2013.

The YLS Annual Pro Bono Fair was held Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. at the Mark Twain House in Hartford, CT.

The campaign was designed to increase pro bono service and awareness throughout the state by facilitating the performance of $1 million worth of pro bono services. The YLS solicited and collected campaign pledges from almost 50 individuals and law firms who committed to perform a combined 4,211 pro bono hours during the three-month period. Based on certifications submitted to the YLS, 8,808.7 pro bono hours were performed in connection with the campaign totaling more than $2.2 million worth of pro bono services, or more than double the original goal.
