Day Pitney Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Partner William J. Roberts to Receive WealthBriefing Award
William "Bill" J. Roberts, FIP, CIPP/US, CIPM, Day Pitney LLP Partner and Co-Chair of its Data Privacy, Protection and Litigation group, was honored with a "Thought Leadership (US) Award" at The Second Annual WealthBriefing WealthTech Americas Awards 2023. As described by WealthBriefing, this event "recognizes outstanding individuals and organizations, grouped by category and geography, which a panel of independent judges deemed to have 'demonstrated innovation and excellence during the last year.'"
"Day Pitney congratulates our colleague and friend Bill Roberts for this well-deserved accolade," said Day Pitney's Managing Partner Thomas D. Goldberg. "Bill has had a profound impact on our firm and industry, utilizing his highly sought-after experience in data privacy and cybersecurity to provide counsel to our clients and thought leadership on behalf of our profession. We are thrilled to see his work recognized and to have an attorney of his stature leading our data privacy team."
"I would like to thank WealthBriefing for this honor and my Day Pitney colleagues—notably the members of our distinguished Data Privacy, Protection and Litigation group and the Family Office practice—for their support, comradery and tremendous acumen and professionalism that has allowed both our practice and firm to continuously grow, thrive and provide thoughtful counsel to our clients," said Roberts.
"These awards were independently and expertly judged solely on the basis of entrants' submissions and their response to a number of specific questions, which were answered by focusing on the client experience rather than purely quantitative performance metrics," said Stephen Harris, ClearView Financial Media's CEO and Publisher of WealthBriefing. "That is a unique, and I believe, compelling feature. These awards recognize the operators in America's wealth management industry, with 'independence,' 'integrity' and 'genuine insight' the watchwords of the judging process."
According to WealthBriefing, the judging process was guided and assisted by a panel of independent experts, each of whom has been actively involved in the family office and wealth management industry for many years and has an in-depth knowledge of the WealthTech sector.
