Overview

Thomas "Tom" Goldberg represents clients in a wide range of industry sectors in large, complex commercial litigation. Clients have sought out his litigation and trial experience in a wide variety of subject matter areas, including representing:

  • corporations and senior executives in securities and shareholder litigation,
  • Big 4 accounting firms defending federal and state law claims,
  • an AmLaw 50 firm in defending a legal malpractice action,
  • parties in all aspects of bankruptcy and insolvency litigation,
  • corporations in defending putative consumer and TCPA class actions, and
  • individuals and entities in partnership, contract, real estate and trade secrets disputes.

In addition to his practice, Tom has served in a number of leadership positions within the firm. He served on the firm’s Executive Committee for eleven years, including serving as the firm's Managing Partner from 2018 to 2023, a period where the firm experienced remarkable success despite unprecedented challenges. Since stepping down as Managing Partner, Tom continues to play a role, leading the firm in its strategic planning and growth initiatives. Tom has long been involved with Connecticut Legal Services, the largest provider of pro bono legal services to low-income people in the state. He served many years on the board including a two-year term as chair and now serves on its Advisory Council. Prior to entering private practice, Tom served as a law clerk to the Honorable Herbert J. Stern, U.S. District Judge for the District of New Jersey.
