Day Pitney Adds William Jordan to Real Estate and Environmental Practice

William J. Jordan has joined Day Pitney as Counsel in the firm's Real Estate and Environmental Practice. Jordan, who will be based in the firm's Hartford office, focuses his practice on a wide range of real estate finance transactions, as well as the acquisition, disposition, financing and leasing of commercial real estate.

"I've known Bill for many years, and he is an experienced attorney who understands the intersection of real estate and finance," said Michael Byrne, Real Estate Partner and member of the Executive Committee at Day Pitney. "His skillset will greatly benefit our clients in our growing practice."

Jordan joins the firm from Barings LLC, where he most recently served as Associate General Counsel and Managing Director. He previously held senior leadership roles at Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers, Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, CIGNA and other corporations.

Jordan earned his AB from Georgetown University and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

In addition to Jordan, Day Pitney's real estate team has added six attorneys since the beginning of 2023. The group provides legal counsel to a broad range of commercial enterprises, including financial institutions, utilities (energy, water, telecommunications), Fortune 500 companies, manufacturing companies, academic institutions, hospitality and retail companies, religious organizations, lending institutions, property owners, and real estate developers.
