Jessica M. Laird provides strategic legal advice to industrial, commercial, and residential clients on complex environmental matters, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while aligning with each client's unique goals and values. Jessica’s experience includes:
- Representing and defending clients in administrative proceedings and enforcement actions initiated by state, federal, and local environmental regulatory agencies
- Counseling clients through all phases of site remediation, from discharge reporting to obtaining and maintaining final remediation documents, and procuring funding through general liability insurance, grants, and cost-recovery actions
- Managing complex multi-party environmental litigations from case inception through pre-trial proceedings, and developing strategies for efficiently and effectively resolving disputes
- Evaluating environmental risks, liabilities, and options in various contexts, and drafting, negotiating, and resolving transactional documents related to the purchase, sale, operation, and management of contaminated sites
- Collaborating with Licensed Site Remediation Professionals (LSRPs), engineers, and other environmental experts to develop tailored solutions to complex technical and legal issues, ensuring the best outcomes for our clients
