
Overview
Larry Zhao represents developers, real estate investment companies, banks, financial institutions, closely held corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships in connection with commercial real estate transactions and land use matters. He advises clients on the acquisition, financing, leasing, entitlement, and disposition of commercial real estate assets across multiple asset classes.
Larry has extensive experience advising Chinese companies on complex real estate transactions in the United States, including commercial and industrial asset acquisitions, long-term and short-term leasing arrangements, and the formation of joint ventures with local investors and developers. Fluent in Mandarin, Larry frequently serves as a key liaison between his clients and their U.S. counterparties, helping bridge legal, cultural, and business differences to facilitate successful cross-border transactions.
Previously, Larry was a corporate compliance intern at a global healthcare company, where he reviewed commercial leases and participated in lease negotiations on behalf of local business units. He also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Michael A. Shipp at the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Larry was a Summer Associate at the firm in 2021.
