Overview

Dina Goldman advocates for natural gas and electric industry clients before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and state commissions. Drawing on her experience in the public sector, Dina counsels energy clients on a broad spectrum of regulatory, compliance, transactional, contractual, and litigation matters. She advises clients regarding the Federal Power Act (FPA) and the Natural Gas Act (NGA), as well as related federal and state statutes. Dina offers comprehensive guidance to clients navigating dynamic energy laws and market rules, and clients value her insights as a former FERC attorney.

Prior to joining Day Pitney, Dina served as an attorney advisor in the Office of General Counsel at FERC, where she advised on hydropower licensing and natural gas certificate proceedings. She served as a subject matter reference for infrastructure plans under the NGA and FPA, and served as the lead attorney for preliminary permit matters in the Mid-Atlantic and New England.

Previously, Dina clerked for the Honorable Robert J. Smith at the Fairfax County Circuit Court. Earlier in her career, she also served as a law clerk at FERC's Office of Administrative Litigation, assisting staff in preparing cases before administrative law judges at the Commission.
