
Overview
Jared P. Ross is a trusted outside general counsel and full-service attorney for real estate developers, lenders and equity participants, offering strategic advice across all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisition, development, permitting, and leasing. He has extensive experience representing developers and investors in multifamily, hotel, office, industrial, and flex space transactions, handling due diligence, joint ventures, and real estate investment funds.
As leader of Day Pitney’s Construction Practice, Jared negotiates and drafts contracts for projects ranging from small rehabilitations to developments exceeding $100 million. He assists with RFP processes and bespoke agreements, and he also represents lenders and borrowers in complex financing arrangements, including mortgage-backed and mezzanine loans with construction elements.
Jared’s practice extends to renewable energy development, where he advises lenders, landowners, developers, and equity participants nationwide on agreements, due diligence, and strategic planning. His unique experience includes working with the Boston Redevelopment Authority and Urban Ecology Institute during law school, enhancing his understanding of public-private dynamics.
In addition, Jared contributes to the firm’s Automotive Practice, providing transactional expertise tailored to the sector. His well-rounded practice makes him a key advisor for clients navigating real estate, construction, and energy projects of any scale.

Ongoing representation of institutional investor in the acquisition and financing of apartment buildings located in the greater Boston area and related work in the formation of joint venture arrangements and a real estate investment fund
Ongoing representation of institutional investor in industrial properties located across the country and related financing and joint venture work
Served as developer's counsel in connection with the acquisition, permitting, development, leasing and ultimate disposition of a portfolio of industrial properties located in New Jersey in excess of $40 million

Served as developer's counsel in connection with the negotiation of construction contracts related to the construction of senior living facilities in excess of $40 million
Served as lender's counsel for complex construction loan, containing both mortgage and mezzanine facilities in excess of $680 million, utilized to build groundbreaking office tower on Park Avenue, New York City
Represented life insurance company in the acquisition of downtown office building located in Boston, Massachusetts for approximately $120 million
Served as developer's counsel in connection with $204 million financing of new hotel and offices in downtown Charlotte, North Carolina
Served as counsel to investment fund in the $22 million acquisition of suburban office buildings in MetroWest, Massachusetts
Represented equity investor in connection with an approximate $400 million investment in a portfolio of wind and solar projects located across the country
Represented international life insurance company in connection with the financing of a portfolio of geo-thermal projects with an approximate loan amount of $180 million
Represented international banking institution in connection with the successive acquisition of loan portfolios for $760 million, $898 million and $1.4 billion
Served as lender's counsel for $22 million mortgage loan and $67 million mortgage loan on adjacent biotech laboratory space in Cambridge, Massachusetts
Served as lender's counsel for a $192 million mortgage loan financing the acquisition of a multi-tenant office's building in downtown Boston
Served as counsel to publicly-traded energy company in the acquisition of a portfolio of compressed natural gas facilities located through the Midwest United States
Served as local counsel for international financial institution in connection with the financing of an $80 million portfolio of solar projects across Massachusetts
